4/20 Friendly - Jim Carrey Movies

I never realized how much I love Jim Carrey as an actor until I started smoking pot. It's truly remarkable that Jim Carrey's oddball style of humor, which can be quite corny at times, has managed to stay consistent for over 35 years. I remember watching Ace Ventura as an early teenager and being amazed that a person could let themselves be such an oddball in public and not care what people thought. I began to pursue Jim Carrey movies whenever I had money, I fell in love with Batman Forever(One of my favorite Batman movies ever) and I couldn't get enough. When I met my girlfriend Mariah, I realized how little of Jim Carrey I had actually seen. We began watching old classics like The Truman Show and Once Bitten, movies that I had never given much attention to because the movie didn't scream HILARIOUS across the cover. We fell in love with the goofball that Jim Carrey always behaved like, and it made me realize that I became happier when I shared my goofiness with other people.

I've gone through and watched all the old Jim Carrey movies I watched growing up, and I love them even more. The memories I have of Jim Carrey dancing around in a tutu while on the hunt for the Miami Dolphins mascot still made me laugh as hard as I did the first day I watched it. Jim Carrey always looks like he just smoked the best weed ever, and he wants to live his life to the fullest, without a care in the world. It's a feeling I have almost every time I smoke. Knowing that there is someone else in the world who acts like a big weirdo and people love him for it gave my self confidence a boost and it allowed me to act a little more like myself. So I owe mary jane a huge favor for unlocking my true gooberness potential. IT'S OVER 9000!!

Jim Carrey has not disappointed me yet with any strain. Blue Dream and the Bubba Kush/Hindu Kush combination made me feel relaxed and ready to laugh, definitely good for Once Bitten. Even Carrey's "serious roles" like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Truman show were an absolute joy to watch because his serious roles only have that much more of an impact when you're stoned into couch-lock. I'll continue to watch Jim Carrey movies even if I stop smoking tomorrow. His always goofy and happy persona have strengthened my relationship with my girlfriend and given me a different outlook on life. So even if Mr. Carrey didn't smoke a day in his life(HIGHLY unlikely), I will always have a special place in his heart for him and his ever expanding catalogue of films.
